Inglot Duraline

I get a lot of messages about certain looks I do. What product I used?  Most of the time it is Inglot Duraline with something else to achieve the look so, I thought I'd share few of the looks and what I mostly(usually) use it for. Price range is in around 10euro mark.
This is what I call my colorful eyeliner pallet, so the most obvious thing is instead of buying loads of colorful gel eyeliners that potentially go will end up going to waste I just use this cheap Costal scents eye-shadow pallet to make my own eyeliners. Scrape a bit if eye-shadow on pallet(hand) add Duraline mix them together and you have an eyeliner of any shade you desire, it lasts all day and does not smudge. (Don't add too much duraline just tiny bit enough to make it in liquidy form)
Duraline is also good to make your old, dried up eyeliner into brand new one, add few drops mix it together and you have an eyeliner you can work with again.
It is also good for sticking down glitters or pigments, again remember less is more.
Another way I use the eye-shadows and Duraline is to make a lipstick, for various reasons I want the particular shade of lipstick or I want to match it to the eye-shadow, like I did in this photo. It dries matte and is really long lasting too.

I had a time where I needed a red lipstick but I forgot it so all I had was red lip-liner, so I did a generous swatch of the lip liner onto my hand added a drop of duraline and made it into lipstick, it gave a lot more even coverage for the lips than only using lip-liner on its own.
It is a great way to make a lip and cheek tint as well.
If you want to create look like this, you can mix the duraline with metallic powder. I used The makeup forever mettalic powder with Glycerine in this photo, but it doesn  not dry on the skin. As  if you need it to last for long period of time use duraline and it will dry on the skin making it long lasting.

If you want to have a highlight that sky rockets to the moon and you don't have Mac fix+ spray to use on your brush , again Duraline will come in handy just mix it with duraline and apply on the skin (less is more)  it will make the highlighter a lot brighter than it is. I't is especially great to use if you are doing a photo-shoot as the highlight will appear a lot better on the camera. Like I have done in the photo above.

Eyeliner Made Easy

There are people who do their eyeliner with angled brush or straight  brush, but if your  wings still aren't sharp enough why not use both brushes, and make it easier.

Products used: Make-Up  Designory(MUD) Cake liner in brown (Great to use as brow product)
MUD angled brush Nr920 (Easy to make sharp and precious lines)
MUD straight liner brush  Nr900 (Easy to control the thickness of eyeliner either really thin or thick)
With nr 900 brush you can get your eyeliner really really thin if you like it that way, some other brushes tend to be to thick and it is hard to get a nice thin line.
This is how I do my own eyeliner , I draw line across my eyelid.
Take the angled brush and draw a straight line as long as you want it to be from your eyelid toward your eyebrow. Angled brush is more dense and will not get flimsy or slip away creating a mess or wiggly line., as well as it is easier to get that sharp point with the tip of the angled brush due to it being denser.
Take nr900 brush and draw another line from the wing toward the eyelid a line. All you have left to do is to straighten out if there isn't anything straight enough, you can make the wing, longer, sharper , thicker from there on.
It will take time and practice but it may be easier for some people to use 2 brushes if you can't get hold of one cuz sometimes drawing straight line across the lid with angled brush can be tricky and the vise versa drawing the wing with straight eyeliner brush may not get you as straight and sharp  wing as you like to.

Products used in the tutorial are available in The Makeup Bar on 13 Angleasea Street,Temple Bar,Dublin2.

L'Olear Fixing mist

Honestly I didn't want to do a review of this product because I've seen so many people hate it and say that it leaves white cast on their face, does nothing, leaves their mirrors and clothes white, but then again this is my blog and ,my own opinion and it  will be different from other people.

So 1st, this smells amazing, love the scent.
How I use it: I shake it really well then hold my hand out and spray it.
I think that this spray is amazing , it keeps my makeup in place, does not leave any white cast on my face even tho I am tan and is great(affordable)  for every day use, never left my clothes white, and I would recommend trying it.

However since people are complaining about their mirrors getting white and dirty, I did go in front of my mirror and sprayed this few times on it, yes it did leave my mirror with white specks.  I guess if you spray it on the mirror it will become white as well as if you spray probably too close to your face.

Overall I like it and haven't had  any problems with it.

RDS Bride of the Year Show.

I will keep this post short and sweet and let the pictures do the talking.

This year I had the chance to go alongside The Makeup Crew and work on one of the Ireland's biggest wedding shows. Experience you get is amazing as well as the people you meet, it improves your skill and confidence greatly. I love doing these shows and hopefully will keep doing them in the future.
Since everyone is a professional it is easy an laid back to work there as there is no one being late or complaining about things. The models arrive get their makeup and hair done and then go get dressed for the catwalk. You get to see all of the beautiful dresses before they walk out and the excitement in everyone's faces it is really a wonderful experience.
There are 2 catwalks on both days and on each run there are 1 mother of the bride chosen to get her outfit picked out, makeup and hair done. On the day 2 I had the chance to do the mother of the bride who had been picked out from the audience, and the excitement in her face was just wonderful to look at, especially after I finished with the makeup and she absolutely loved it.  As a make-up artist this is one of the most uplifting things you get to see, making someone feel happy about the way they look and giving them that little bit of confidence and joy.
